The Hisense Junior Individual Chess Championship – 4th Edition is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026 at the beautiful Arirang Hotel .

- Registration Fee: UGX 60,000 (inclusive of lunch)
- Registration Deadline: 14th July 2026
- Available Slots: 150 players only (First Come, First Served)
- Chief Arbiter: Vicky Nakiirya
- Number of Rounds: 7
- Time Control: 45 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move
- Recording: Mandatory for all players
Age Categories
- Under 18 (U18)
- Under 16 (U16)
- Under 14 (U14)
- Under 12 (U12)
- Under 10 (U10)
- Under 8 (U8)
Awards Structure
Players will compete in mixed (open) sections within their respective age categories.
Trophies and Medals
Awarded separately to Boys and Girls in each age category.
Grand Prizes
Grand prizes will be awarded based on overall performance in the category, regardless of gender.
This means boys and girls compete together for the overall category prizes while still receiving separate recognition for medals and trophies within their respective genders.

With only 150 slots available, participants are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment. Registration will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
