Matsiko Ezekiel (often known as Ike Matsiko or Ikemat34) is a certified accountant and seasoned chess administrator who currently serves as Accountant of the Uganda Chess Federation. He brings strong financial expertise, organizational discipline, and a deep passion for chess to the federation’s operations.

A qualified and certified public Accountant, Matsiko has extensive experience in financial management, auditing, and administrative oversight. He previously served as Treasurer of the Uganda Chess Federation (notably in 2021), where he played a key role in resource mobilization and financial stewardship for national programs. His professional precision ensures transparency, accountability, and sustainable financial systems within the federation’s secretariat.

Matsiko Ezekiel is a dedicated FIDE-rated chess player (FIDE ID: 10005420) with the online title Arena Candidate Master (ACM). His current ratings are approximately:

He has been an active competitor in Uganda’s chess scene for many years, participating in national tournaments such as the Comrades Chess Tournament, National Chess League, and various opens. He is known for his competitive spirit and consistent performances.

Matsiko has represented Uganda on the international stage, most notably as Captain of the Ugandan team at the 2nd FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities 2025. His leadership in this global event highlights his commitment to inclusive chess and national representation.

He has also been involved in other international youth and schools chess initiatives, including supporting Uganda’s participation in the Africa Schools Individual Chess Championships.
